A little more about Jerry…

Personal info: I live in Farmville, Virginia with my wife Tina, and our four children, all of whom are still at home. I run a construction business. Writing is still a side line. Even though our place doesn’t lend itself to such a thing, we just acquired a pet rooster. He roams the yard as if he rules the world.

Author of: A Time To Live (2006), Sarah (2007), Sarah’s Son (2008), Hannah’s Dream (2008), Hannah (2009), Rebecca’s Promise (2009) Rebecca’s Return (2009)

Favorite Scriptures or quotes: “As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” John 1:12

Favorite books: The Screwtape Letters, The Great Divorce, almost anything C.S. Lewis. I read current fiction, including Nicholas Sparks, Khaled Hosseini, John Grisham, and Marie Bostwick. I also enjoy books like, John Irving/Cider House Rules and Kingsolver/The Poisonwood Bible.

Hobbies/Activities I enjoy: reading and writing, Saturday night movie hour at home, travel―as in foreign countries and the West―Mexican restaurants (if authentic), theology.

One funny or interesting thing about me: One of the great disappointments of my life was to miss seeing Halley’s Comet in 1986. I learned of the event in the early seventies and waited all those years, only to have the earth be on the wrong side of the sun, or some such thing.
