That sounds delicious, Shirley! Thank you for sharing. Do you know how many servings that makes?

Hope your daughter (and the rest of the family) loves how it turns out. A cup of homemade hot chocolate and a good book sounds like a great way to spend a winter evening. :)

Hi Amber. I've found what looks to be like a nice recipe for slow cooker hot chocolate. I haven't tried it yet but my daughter would like to make it for Christmas day. Looks easy enough to make.
1and a half cups of heavy cream.
1 can 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
6 cups milk
1 tsp of vanilla
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

In slow cooker , stir together heavy cream, milk, vanilla and chocolate chips.
Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until mixture is hot and chocolate chips are melted. Stir again before serving. Top with your favorite fixings and enjoy! Refridgerate any leftovers.
This recipe comes from krogers
If anyone tries this please let me know if you liked it..

The state of the oven can certainly complicate things! I had a tough time in recent years making cookies in the oven at my grandparents' house. That's great that you found a treat that works well, though! Buckeyes sound quite interesting and yummy.

I'm glad you're taking time to enjoy the Christmas season. Hope it's a wonderful holiday for you and yours!

I never have luck with cookies. They burn every time. My oven must be too hot. I have better luck with buckeyes. I have my own recipe and everyone loves them. Haven't made any for years. I've been trying to do less at Christmas time
I'm usually so busy at Christmas it's gone before I know it.
Merry Christmas
