This was beautifully written and spoke to my heart. I wonder if my life, as a follower of Christ, is setting the example that the lost world needs.
As I grow older, I find that a more simplistic and quiet way of life draws my heart, soul and mind back to God, my Creator. I often sit near the wood stove and purposefully lose myself in deep thought and prayer. This is something I’ve needed to practice in years past, but always found myself “too busy”.
The Amish and Mennonites have quietly taught me some very profound and simple truths and I am very grateful to them. It’s too bad there are not more like them.
