I was so excited when I found out about ‘A Baby for Hannah’. It’s like finding a loved one who was missing and finally being reunited. I can’t wait to get my copy and be blessed with having Hannah and Jake back in our lives. This triology will be placed in a special location in our library so that I can simply pick up one of the books when I feel I’m missing Hannah and Jake and know they are always close by. -Charles P. in Columbia, MO

I love reading all and any amish books. I have read over 200 in the past year. I envy the lifestyle and the way the community comes together to help each other out. I have not found that in my way of living in the english world. The books allow me to fantazie about living that way with a good christian background. They also make me feel like i belong in a world that is so selfish and not easy to live in. I will always and continue to reader amish fiction to nourish my needs of living a simple life.

I too long for the simplicity of the Amish life,as I was raised Mennonite. After growing up and choosing my own way of life, I realize that I had made some wrong choices, and now my husband and I are reverting back too it. The Amish and Mennonite still have problems in their own world, but they are the most generous and good hearted people I know. I now realize that my upbringing has brought me back to the christian life. Reading all of the Amish books that I have takes me back to the good days. We treasure our Amish friends as they have helped us out as we needed, and this has made us close to them.

Although I’m not Amish in reality, I feel Amish at heart. I am a Christian and worship our Lord and Saviour and have spent the last ten years longing for the Amish simplicity in life. My wife of ten years is a retired Microsoft designer which is the complete opposite of what it means to be Amish. With her disability caused by excessive hours at the computer and the so-called luxuries of life, we both now avoid computers as much as possible and often wonder if it is possible to convert. We are both reading A Hope for Hannah by Jerry Eicher and have fallen so deep into the story that it almost feels like Hannah and Jake are real and in our lives. We are happy when Hannah is happy and pleased yet we are saddened and sometimes feel like crying when Hannah is hurt like when she lost her baby. The saddest page of the book is the last page because when we reach it tomorrow we know that we will be losing our friends that we have grown to love. Most interestingly though is that we were considering relocating to Whitefish, Montana prior to ever reading this book. Now we wonder if this book is God’s way of telling us that there are true and wonderful people in that area awaiting to be our friends. We now wish we could make the move and find the real Hannah and Jake just down the road waiting to sell us a new table and chairs and become our friends.

I would enjoy the chance to be featured in one of your news letters. I absolutely LOVE Amish fiction, almost, ALMOST to the exclusion of other reading material. I do read other genres of books, mainly christian fiction, but my Amish fiction ALWAYS comes first, lol. In the past 2 years, I have read WELL over 100 Amish fiction books alone, (lost count) not counting others. I do not part with a book. I will lend it, but I want to keep them for my library. I enjoy using my own hidden writing talent and spinning stories in this same genre myself. Although I’ve never let anyone read them. I can look at a book, take a minute, and tell you a synopsis of that particular book. Regardless of how many I’ve read. Can’t wait to start reading the news letters again!
