I enjoyed reading your comments. In the past I've read many books about the Amish and having been raised in an Amish famiy [and am now Mennonite], I have mixed emotions about the content. Sometimes I chuckle because of the author's misinformation, sometimes it makes me sad, and other times I must admit it makes me, a peace lover a bit angry at the misconceptions that "outsiders' truly believe.
I saw your book in my book club news, but just didn't know if I wanted to take a chance at another author's view on my beloved people. I admire your policy in choosing not to exploit the Amish and their way of life.
If I can answer any questions you have I would be more than happy to do so.

Well, I must say I haven't read your book as of yet, but I plan to. I am a reader of Amish based books. I like to read anything that has to do with them. I don't know why they have captured my interest so.......but I like you want to know more. I never dreamed it would be that difficut to learn, or to get information from them. However, I have read how private they are. Looking forward to reading your book. Kenya

Wow! I never would have realized it would have been so hard to get an Amish person's perspective, but from what you found out, now I understand why. Thanks for the inside scoop to the research behind your novel!
